Hot dang, I wish I could afford to buy this! (just spend $400+ on Mother/Earthbound stuff...)

Second controller is complete and bagged up for the time being. Started work on the first controller and fixed the screen tacts and replaced the 3.5mm mono power jack with the 2.5mm mono power jack so there will be no confusion between which jack fits where. Now I have to cut and replace the d-pad with the NES controller, fill and touch up, then rewire and close back up. Hopefully I'll have most of that done this weekend. But more updates and pics when they become available.

The SNES had two motherboard models. If I recall correctly, the first model, the 001, had a large, deep green mobo with an external sound unit. The new(er) model, the 002, had a considerably smaller mobo with the sound unit built in. Also, the 002 had 2 floor pads while the 001 had 4. AND 001 had a special latch in the cart slot that locked the earlier version carts in place, while the 002 did not, although it can be installed in one if you want. (by earlier carts i mean the ones with a small oblong slit under the label. The newer ones had a larger curve, and therefore, the locking latch did nothing.)

Correct, and the fact that SNES Advace is the name of an Emulator already.

YAY I was right! I forgot if that was it was a mobo thing or a mini-to-standard thing. I do like that emulator, but why did you name it after it?

The finish line is in sight! Just have some more "testing" and cosmetic work to do on the controllers but from a functionality standpoint I am very excited! It was good though when I did a small test play and gave my wife one of the controllers and she managed to mash the buttons a bit harder than they would take, so I had to fix the break which was good that it happened here and not wherever the buyer has it!

Here is a small teaser video as well. Hopefully within the week this will be complete and good to go!
